They anticipate the project will be finished in 2025.

Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville have released plans to develop an all-inclusive resort in Honduras. The Margaritaville Island Reserve Resort Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras is the latest development in the duo’s Latin American expansion plans.

Karisma Hotels & Resorts SVP of Business Development, Design and Construction Mario Mathieu said the resort is eager to continue its business relationship with Margaritaville.

He commented, "We are thrilled to join forces once again with our esteemed partners at Margaritaville. Together, we are dedicated to creating an unforgettable and authentically local Margaritaville experience in Honduras that truly captures the essence of Roatan."

Margaritaville Executive Director Shamim Lodin said bringing its brand to the region is a win for both the company and local residents.

Lodin said, "We are excited to bring the Margaritaville brand to the island of Roatan in Honduras. It's an incredible destination with rich culture and history, offering guests the perfect island getaway.

"This location is an excellent fit for Margaritaville and will be an iconic property for guests, promising laid-back luxury and authentic Bay Islands charm."

Under the terms of the agreement, Margaritaville and Karisma Hotels & Resorts will collaborate with Island Shipping, S. de R.L. on building the resort. Once completed, it will be home to live outdoor music venues, along with 164 rooms and a 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar.

The project is expected to wrap up in 2025.

Island Shipping CEO Jerry Hynds commented, "We are thrilled to bring such an enticing lifestyle brand to the island; our master-planned coastal development could not be a more perfect setting for Margaritaville.

"Roatan is experiencing significant growth, and we are proud and excited to be part of the journey to change the hospitality landscape on the island."
