Connecticut’s Mashantucket Pequot Tribe has reelected two members of its Tribal Council, according to a local news report. The Tribe recently announced that Latoya Cluff will continue to serve as the Council Vice Chairwoman and Matthew Pearson will retain his position as secretary.
Both members will continue in this positions for another three-year term. Their new terms begin in January.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council is comprised of seven members. The Council manages Foxwoods Resort Casino as well as several other Tribe-owned businesses, including the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, Pequot Health Care, Lake of Isles golf club and the Spa at Norwich Inn.
The group held a separate vote following the general election to reelect Cluff, according to the local report. Cluff ran for the position unopposed.
Cluff’s role includes serving as the Tribe’s Community Planning and Housing Committee’s Chair. She graduated from the University of New Haven, where she earned a Master’s in Labor Relations with a concentration in Human Resources Management. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Management at Johnson and Wales University.
Pearson sits on the Tribe’s Administrative Support and Judicial Committee, where he presides as Chair. He earned a certificate in publishing at University of Denver, along with a Bachelor’s in Media and Communications from Muhlenberg College.
In other state news, Connecticut players recently gained access to games through Bragg Gaming Groups’ new remote games server (RMS) technology through an ongoing partnership with FanDuel Group.
FanDuel players can now access titles from several Bragg brands, including Bragg Studios, Atomic Slot Lob, Indigo Magic and from Spin Games. Selected titles exclusive to Powered by Bragg are also available for Michigan and Connecticut players.
