A lawsuit is underway which has resulted from a recent data casino breach at Caesars Entertainment. The company recently experienced a 'digital break-in' regarding its Caesars Rewards loyalty program.
The online attack compromised names, birth dates, Government-issued ID numbers, driver’s license information and social security numbers. Personal information for more than 65 million Caesars Rewards members has been compromised.
The online attack is currently under investigation by Levi Korsinsky, LLP. The firm is working to determine whether affected members will be eligible for compensation.
Loyalty members who have received notices stating that their information has been compromised can participate in the legal suit at no cost. Levi Korsinsky, LLP noted that there is also no obligation to participate in the lawsuit.
However, the firm encouraged those affected to seek help by saying, “Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage. Hackers break into networks so that they can steal your personal information to sell it on the dark web or commit identity theft, financial theft, or other frauds. The company may be liable for failing to secure your privacy.”
In other company news, Caesars Entertainment has announced that it will offer race fans a variety of dining options during the upcoming Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix.
This year’s Grand Prix race will run on the Las Vegas Strip from November 16 to November 18.
Guests can try food from several renowned chefs, including multi-Michelin-Star Chef and Television Personality Gordon Ramsay, Michelin-starred restaurateur Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, acclaimed Chef and Author Giada De Laurentiis and Television Personality, Lisa Vanderpump.
