The Plaza Hotel & Casino will be offering a U2-themed cocktail for one night only on Friday September 29 to coincide with the release of the band’s new single of the same name: “Atomic City.” The Atomic City cocktail will be made with Vegas Baby Vodka, cranberry juice and lime.
The Plaza’s Carousel Bar was the location of a recent pop-up concert and filming for the music video on September 16, where the song debuted before its imminent public release.
The cocktail also gives U2 fans and Plaza guests another way to celebrate before the limited concert run “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere.”
The Sphere at the Venetian Resort is a $2.3bn venue with an 18,600-person capacity. The Atomic City cocktail will cost $5 and be available to order from open to close.
In Gaming America’s September/October CEO Special issue, we spoke to the Plaza Hotel & Casino’s CEO Jonathan Jossel about his passion for the industry and what it’s like to operate Downtown rather than on The Strip. Jossel and The Plaza have enjoyed hosting many other events at the venue, from pickleball to rodeos.
The Las Vegas Rodeo will be hosted by The Plaza at the CORE Arena on November 10 and 11 — in the middle of U2’s concert run nearby at the Sphere.
