She will assume the newly created role with almost three decades of industry experience.

Graton Resort & Casino has selected Muscogee Creek Tribe member Lana Rivera to fill the role of President, a newly created position within the company. Until now, Rivera has served as the casino’s General Manager.

Her new duties will include managing business functions like operations, marketing, and food and beverage services. She will also lead the casino’s recently announced $1bn expansion project.

Rivera has nearly three decades of industry experience. During the 1990s, she first entered the gaming industry in Joliet, Illinois at Harrah’s Casino as a card game dealer. Throughout her career, she has served as a leader at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma as its General Manager for 15 years.

Rivera graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she completed the executive development program for strategic leadership in the gaming industry.

Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria Tribal Chairman Greg Sarris commended Rivera for her past accomplishments and said he is confident she will continue to add value to the company going forward.

He commented, “Lana has driven both growth and loyalty at Graton. We have the best team members in the business largely because of Lana’s leadership.

“I’m thrilled that she’s spearheading our property expansion which will allow us to serve our guests with additional entertainment and amenities as we give back to our community.”

Rivera took a moment to comment on her new role and said she looks forward to coming alongside the company to help achieve its goals.

She said, “Graton Resort & Casino is a special place, and I’m happy to lead this incredible team into the next phase of our development.

"It’s vital to me that our business reflects our mission to operate as a community partner and also provide the highest quality experience for guests.”
