After working with Entain for 18 years, Hoskin has praised the Board for its emphasis on being a responsible operator.

Entain, online gaming and sports betting operator has announced that its Chief Governance Officer (CGO), Robert Hoskin, will be stepping down. Hoskin is set to leave the Board on June 30, though will remain with Entain until the end of August 2023.

Hoskin has been with Entain since 2005, but has served as its CGO since 2020. He has previously held the roles of Company Secretary and Group Director of Legal, Regulatory and Secretariat, before being promoted in October 2020, and joining the Board in 2021.

Jette Nygaard-Andersen, CEO of Entain, said, “Robert was exceptionally supportive, welcoming and helpful to me when I joined the Board of Entain as a non-executive director in 2019. He has played an instrumental role in making Entain the success story that it is today, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to him.”

Entain has recently decided to restructure responsibilities within the company, with an emphasis on regulatory affairs. The operator references the importance of regulation and working exclusively within regulated markets.

Barry Gibson, Chair of Entain, commented, “When I became Chairman, my colleagues and I had a singular focus on making the business sustainable, concentrating on regulated markets but keeping the entrepreneurial drive within the business. Robert has been central to the implementation of that vision.”

After restructuring, Simon Zinger will take on some of Hoskin’s other responsibilities. Zinger is currently Entain’s General Counsel.

Hoskin, himself, added, “Entain has been through a period of extraordinary transformation in recent times, and now has strong credentials as a responsible operator with outstanding governance and a clear commitment to sustainability in all its forms. I am truly honored to have had the opportunity of playing a part in that extraordinary journey.”
