FanDuel's NBA fans will see "Young Chuck," score sign-up bonuses and other offers this playoff season.

FanDuel, the official sports betting partner of the National Basketball Association (NBA), has launched a new ad campaign for the playoffs called, "Think Like a Player.” The campaign will showcase a partnership with former 11-time NBA All Star, Charles Barkley.

“Think Like a Player” will use deepfake technology to bring “Young Chuck” to the campaign, as FanDuel and Barkley generate a 1990s version of the power forward. FanDuel bettors will be told by Barkley’s younger self to “think like a player” when placing wagers.

FanDuel's EVP of Marketing, Andrew Sneyd, said, "We're excited to tap into the energy of the NBA playoffs as well as the fanhood for Charles.

“This campaign will not only cement FanDuel's place in the conversation of brands that are adding to the sports experience but continue to give us the opportunity to flex our creative muscle and demonstrate how we're reaching our target audience in unique ways."

The aim of the campaign is to help FanDuel users and basketball fans understand how to create Same Game Parlays on their favorite NBA players, which will involve fans betting on multiple possible outcomes during a single game, potentially for multiple games throughout the playoff season.

FanDuel will offer its new customers a special signup offer to Bet $5, Get $150 in Bonus Bets. More offers will also be announced throughout the basketball postseason.

The campaign ads will tip off during the play-in tournament and will be seen throughout the NBA conference finals. The last ad will be live during the finals.
