Content will be sourced from a community of creators across the US and Canada.

WagerWire, a marketplace for sports bets, has launched its media division with a new Community Page on its website. The site will host viewpoints, insights and commentaries from fans. Its community has grown to over 20,000 active participants.

Wagerwire’s Twitter Spaces shows have hosted Hall of Fame athletes, such as recent guests Lavar Arrington, Cardale Jones and Ed Latimore. Community members interview athletes and sports industry personalities, as well as share insights and betting tips.

WagerWire’s Content Manager, Nick Davis, said, “The new movement in social media is all about community. Recent years have isolated sports fans and bettors and sent them to the internet in search of something. Users are looking for mutual engagement.

"We have put a significant amount of time into the community letting them know that we see them and we want to elevate their content.”

The company has also launched a new “Bet Value Calculator,” to show users, “the real market value of their bet,” allowing them to compare these values to the cashout offer from their sportsbook.

Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of WagerWire, Travis Geiger, said of the launch, “The current sports betting media landscape is uninspiring for sports fans and bettors. The status quo is basically a stale sea of so-called experts telling people what to do. WagerWire is disrupting this monotony by injecting some democracy.”

Geiger aims for the company to “educate and empower” the millions of people who will likely begin gambling, as more states legalize sports betting across the country.
