DraftKings opens sportsbook at Boot Hill Casino & Resort, KS

Sporting alumni, including former Kansas City Chiefs legend Neil Smith, attended the grand opening.

DraftKings and Butler National Corporation have announced the opening of a 2,500-square-foot sportsbook at Boot Hill Casino & Resort located in Dodge City, Kansas. The sportsbook will offer Kansans a 17-foot-long LED video wall, several high-def televisions, two cashier stations, four betting kiosks, lounge seating and an assortment of food and beverage offerings.

Boot Hill Casino & Resort GM Diane Giardine commented: "We’re thrilled to announce the opening of the new DraftKings retail sportsbook. This is the place to be for sports fans, where you can watch your favorite games while enjoying a comfortable and entertaining atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming sports fans and creating unforgettable experiences for them."

DraftKings and Butler National commemorated the grand opening of the new sportsbook with a two-day Boot Hill Casino & Resort celebration. The festivities included a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring DraftKings representatives, Kansas Lottery employees and senior Boot Hill Casino & Resort associates.

GoJo podcast host and DraftKings football analyst Mike Golic Jr. attended the opening event along with other special guests. Attendees enjoyed festivities, a meet-and-greet with Mike Golic Jr., and the opportunity to place wagers at the betting kiosks and cashier stations inside the newly opened sportsbook.

On Saturday, there were additional events and guest appearances from former Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Neil Smith, Kansas State University football alumni Brian Goolsby and University of Kansas Men's basketball alumni Mitch Lightfoot.

DraftKings Senior Director of Retail Sportsbooks Michael Kibort commented: "It's exciting to see our shared vision of bringing DraftKings' innovative mobile app to life with an in-person experience at our new DraftKings retail sportsbook located at Boot Hill Casino & Resort."
