The company has launched seven other sportsbook in the DC area.

Elys Game Technology has signed a deal that will allow it to operate a sportsbook at restaurant and bar, The Ugly Mug, in Washington DC.

Pending the necessary licensing, this location will be the eighth retail sportsbook Elys has launched in the DC area.

The Ugly Mug is located close to Capitol Hill and sits within 10 blocks of Nationals Stadium. The restaurant bar serves its customers an American-styled menu against the backdrop of a casual décor.

Elys Executive Chairman Michele Ciavarella said about the pending launch: “We are delighted to partner with Gaynor Jablonski and his team to operate a sportsbook at The Ugly Mug restaurant and bar conveniently located only blocks from Nationals Stadium in Washington DC.

“By fostering partnerships in local establishments such as The Ugly Mug, Elys brings together vibrant environments with a professionally managed sports betting enterprise. This combination can connect fans and friends together to revel in sports events while enjoying a meal and beverage.”

Along with its other DC sportsbook launches, the company said it continues to remain committed to supporting the local economy by offering local players access to retail locations within restaurant settings.

Ciavarella said in closing: “We firmly believe that this successful combination can contribute economic benefits to small business entrepreneurs across the nation and boost resources for state and local amenities and infrastructure.”

Elys is an interactive gaming and sports betting technology company. It operates in multiple countries worldwide and currently has operations in six US states.

Elys offers gaming products and services, such as sports betting, esports, virtual sports, online casino, poker, bingo, interactive games and slots.
