Sightline Payments has announced plans to offer its Play+ cards for the first time in the US, with the hope of expanding its omnichannel payment solutions.
The company has over 1.5 million cardholders and it partners with large North American gaming companies to provide them with digital payment solutions.
The gaming industry is one of the largest cash-centric ecosystems remaining in the US; last year it generated more than $100bn in revenue. The regulated global gaming industry is projected to grow to more than $800bn by 2026; this means that payment companies have to keep pace with the demands of prominent US operators.
Omnichannel payments solutions allow customers to spend their money across an entire casino resort using a single payment method. Sightline is offering this with the Play+ card which they can add to their digital wallet and use in a Visa-compliant casino resort to earn rewards from all their activities.
Sightline Co-CEO Joe Pappano commented: “We are honored to work with Visa as we continue to transform the payment experience across the casino resort ecosystem. Leveraging modern payment solutions strengthens the relationship between the resort and its patrons.
“Enabling customers to use a single wallet for anything across the resort provides guests a better experience while earning loyalty for everything they do on property.”
The Play+ card also boasts plentiful security measures to protect customers from the threat of fraud and identity theft. It provides Sightline users with enhanced safety as they will never need to take physical cash to casinos.
Sightline will enable the Play+ card to work in coordination with its Mobile+ mobile app, which has been downloaded by almost 4 million customers to date. The app is branded and customized for each operator and is designed to increase revenue, loyalty and brand outreach.
