The index shows that MGM has performed well in enforcing gender parity in the workplace.

MGM Resorts has been named on the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), a tool that tracks public companies’ practices and policies regarding gender equity in the workplace. MGM Resorts is among 483 organizations included in this year's GEI, and its inclusion indicates that the operator has enforced a high level of disclosure and overall performance in several areas.

These areas include establishing a leadership and talent pipeline, inclusive culture, equal pay, gender pay parity and strong anti-sexual harassment policies.

MGM Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer Jyoti Chopra commented: “MGM Resorts is proud to be recognized for our long-standing commitments to progressing gender equity throughout our company and communities in which we operate.

"As a leader in our industry, we strive to foster a diverse workplace where everyone can achieve their full potential, regardless of gender."

MGM Resorts has implemented year-long efforts to achieve gender equity across all facets of its organizations and operations. It has an Accelerated Leadership Program, Professional Women Employee Network Group and Mentorship Program.

The company is also a founding sponsor of the annual Women's Leadership Conference. This conference gathers a diverse community of professionals seeking to improve their leadership in regard to gender equity.

All of these initiatives are part of an umbrella campaign from MGM called ‘Focused On What Matters, which is its larger commitment to embracing humanity and protecting the planet.

MGM has been making headlines for its commercial strides in the past week, having gone live with retail sports betting in Massachusetts. It will be operating in this state through its BetMGM brand at MGM Springfield, with the Bay State having launched in-person sports betting yesterday.
