The supplier has partnered with UBetOhio to deploy its betting solutions in the Buckeye State.

IGT has announced that its PlaySports technology is live in Ohio and has partnered with UBetOhio to deliver sports betting technology to all Ohioan bettors. UBetOhio is a licensed Type C sports gaming proprietor, and was the first such company to receive a license from the Ohio Casino Control Commission.

IGT PlaySports offers a multitude of advanced betting technologies, including self-service kiosks, sports wagering banks and pods.

UBetOhio CEO and COO Andy Westmeyer commented: “UBetOhio is excited to partner with IGT PlaySports to deploy award-winning technology and convenient betting solutions to the many sports fans throughout the state.

“IGT PlaySports is the leading sports betting provider in the US, and its experience in delivering technology enables us to offer restaurants and bars added excitement for patrons while they are watching their favorite Ohio sports teams."

IGT partnered with the Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Washington State to offer its PlaySports technology in August, which made it the eighth casino in the Evergreen State to do so. IGT PlaySports powers sports betting at over 80 gaming establishments across North America, including Reno, Seattle, Austin and New York.

IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher commented: “As a Type C Sports Gaming provider, UBetOhio is able to offer betting on popular sports via IGT's sophisticated technology in social settings where fans are already watching games on TV.

"IGT's PlaySports QuickBet Kiosk is our most widely used self-service sports betting technology in the US and will allow UBetOhio to deliver a fun betting experience to players in a compact footprint."
