The lottery courier app saw triple-digit growth in newly entered states.

Jackpocket has announced its Q3 results for 2022, reporting that digital lottery courier orders have increased in all 14 states where the app is available since this year’s second quarter.

The app has seen major expansion in newly entered markets such as Montana, where its growth soared by 955% this quarter. New Mexico also produced triple-digit growth with a 185% increase.

The group highlighted that total winnings for Jackpocket users rose by 41% from Q2 to Q3 of this year. It also noted that the number of women using the app increased marginally quarter-on-quarter from 41.4% to 42.3%, while the number of male users declined from 58.6% to 57.7%.

Jackpocket Founder and CEO Peter Sullivan commented: “With each new quarter, we continue to see remarkable growth and more opportunity in the digital lottery courier space.

“Most exciting is that the total winnings for our users jumped quarter over quarter from $25m to $35m. With an increase in both users and winners, we're proud to offer a convenient, easy way for lottery lovers to participate in their favorite games while also appealing to a new generation."

New York State saw the most ticket orders each month and also distributed the top three winning tickets, which amounted to $3m. The state with the lowest amount of ticket orders was Idaho.

Ohio saw the greatest year-on-year growth of ticket orders at 133%, while Montana enjoyed the largest quarter-on-quarter ticket order growth at 955%.

The top three states for lottery revenue generated remained unchanged from Q2: they were New York, Texas and New Jersey – in that order.

New Jersey was also third in the category of top three winning lottery tickets, generating $1m.
