The group plans to further expand into regulated markets in 2023

Unikrn was introduced eight years ago, founded in 2014 but reintroduced by Entain in 2022 as a video game and esports betting platform.

The group has now launched its betting platform in Brazil and Canada, with plans to expand further into regulated markets in 2023. The platform offers betting options across traditional sports and casino games for players of legal betting age.

The platform offers users the ability to bet on their own, with friends or on themselves while providing an around-the-clock video game stream of popular video game titles.

Unikrn CEO and Managing Director of Esports at Entain Justin Dellario said: "Over the past year, the passionate team at Entain has worked closely with us to create a safe, accessible, secure and compliant product that players can trust – even if they’ve never placed a bet before.

"The launch of Unikrn in both Brazil and Canada is the first step as we introduce a video game and esports betting platform that truly puts a new generation of players and their passions first."

Initial product offerings from the company include UMode, allowing players to bet on their own skills in the games they play. They can increase their earnings and rewards by competing in ranked matches.

The company also offers its own sportsbook, allowing users to bet on sporting events worldwide. Players can customize their betting experiences by combining sports and esports wagers in one place.

Unikrn also offers a rewards program that allows players to earn bonuses by linking their game account to their Unikrn account. After each match, players will earn rewards that can be used across the platform's product suite.
