Everyone who enters a Caesars Entertainment property will now have to wear a mask at all times, except when eating or drinking, following a statement released by Caesars Entertainment on Wednesday.
“We promised that Caesars would continue to evaluate the latest recommendations, directives and medical science regarding the COVID-19 public health emergency and modify our enhanced health and safety protocols accordingly,” Caesars Entertainment CEO Tony Rodio said in the release. “As a result, we are immediately requiring everyone in our properties to wear a mask, because the scientific evidence strongly suggests that wearing masks and practice social distancing may be the most important deterrents to spreading COVID-19 from person to person.”
Before this new policy took effect on 24 June, masks were required to be worn by all employees and only the players at table games as part of the enhanced health and safety protocols implemented by Caesars Entertainment.
Now, all guests will be asked to wear mask when indoors. If anyone refuses to wear a mask after being asked, Caesars said they will be directed to leave the property.
The mask policy will not only be for Nevada, where on the same day Gov. Steve Sisolak issued a mandate for all people to wear face coverings while in public, Caesars announced that this mask policy applies to its properties across the nation that are open and yet to reopen.
MGM Resorts International has also announced it is implementing the same policy.
