MGM Resorts International has been named by the Seramount Inclusion Index as a leader in diversity, equity and inclusion. The company was ranked as a leading inclusion index company, along with 36 other organizations.
Seramount is a group that recognizes companies for their ongoing commitment to creating solutions for cultural change.
MGM gained recognition by meeting criteria in three key areas that include recruitment, retention and advancement of racial and ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ+ community members and people with disabilities.
Organizations that foster an inclusive work environment and strive to maintain demographic diversity and leadership accountability are amount those Seramount considers leaders.
MGM said in a statement: “This recognition highlights MGM Resorts' commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) throughout the company.”
MGM Resorts Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer Jyoti Chopra noted that creating an inclusive workspace is an ongoing company goal and said MGM is pleased to be honored among other committed organizations.
Chopra said: "We are honored to be recognized for our enduring commitments to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our company.
"Our continuous growth in this area furthers our determination to ensure the principles of diversity and inclusion remain a focus and integral part of our people strategy."
In addition to diversity and inclusion, responsible gaming education remains a key focus as MGM Resorts continues to expand its sports betting platform to new jurisdictions.
As part of Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM 2022), MGM Resorts and its BetMGM subsidiary recently teamed up with the American Gaming Association (AGA). During RGEM 2022, the company offered players tips and educational resources regarding responsible gambling via its social media platforms.
