Caesars Entertainment has published its 2021-2022 Corporate Social Responsibility report. The operator focused on diversity and inclusion during the fiscal year, concentrating specifically on leadership representation that reflects both racial and gender equality.
Women occupy 46% of the total mid-level leadership roles and 32% of senior leadership positions, according to this year’s report. Minority team members represent 43% and 19% of mid-level and senior leadership roles respectively.
The operator is working toward reaching gender and racial equality within its leadership team by 2025. The report showed significant progress when addressing environmental concerns throughout the year as well.
The company said in a statement: “Caesars is working to divert waste from landfills, reduce water consumption and reduce the Company's carbon footprint.”
Nearly 40% of company waste was diverted from landfills, according to the report. Caesars’ goal by 2030 is to increase that total to 60%.
The company has also set a goal to decrease its water consumption by 20% per square foot by the year 2035. During the past year, Caesars reported a 15% reduction in water consumption per square foot.
With regard to its carbon footprint, Caesars reported a decrease in Scope 1 + 2 emissions of 33.9% when compared to figures from 2011. The company aspires to lower its emissions by 100% by the year 2050.
