Potawatomi Hotel and Casino names Kerry Janovitch as CFO

The resort named a new CFO and its first Chief Information Officer.

Kerry Janovitch has been named as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino while Garret Finocchiaro joins as the property's first Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Janovitch was promoted to CFO after spending the last seven years as the property's accounting director. She joined the business in 2015 after working in the Pacific Northwest hospitality and entertainment industry and has 27 years of experience in tribal gaming and hospitality.

Potawatomi Hotel & Casino CEO and general manager, Dominic Ortiz, said: "Kerry is a creative, open-minded leader who believes in challenging the status quo to drive results. Her leadership will help us build an entertainment destination revered by our competitors and celebrated by the people of Milwaukee."

The other appointment made by Potawatomi casino was the appointment of Finocchiaro as the property's first CIO. 

Finocchiaro boasts 35 years of experience in the technology and data management field and has worked as the director of IT operations and support at Oneida Nations Enterprises in New York for the last decade.

Ortiz added: "Garret is an experienced, high-level casino executive with a proven track record of success. He has helped Tribal nations build a forward-thinking mindset with long-term strategic insights into technology and security. We are honored to bring him to Milwaukee as we build a new future for Potawatomi Casino & Hotel."

In his time in various positions, Garret has overseen technical services for four casinos, three sportsbooks, five hotel properties and 40 food and beverage venues. 

Potawatomi Hotel & Casino is a Native American casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, owned and operated by the Forest County Potawatomi Community. It first opened its doors March 7, 1991.
