MGM Resorts, BetMGM partner with the AGA to initiate Responsible Gaming Education Month

The company and its subsidiary remain committed to educating bettors and encouraging responsible gambling.
MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have teamed up with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to kick off Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM 2022). Throughout September, MGM Resorts and BetMGM will promote consumer education, as well as encourage additional employee training and community collaboration.
MGM Resorts Director of Responsible Gaming Garrett Farnes said: “We are proud to participate in RGEM 2022 and to let it serve as an additional platform to promote player health, as well as to increase awareness in the communities where we operate.
“Training is a priority. Our employees serve as the front line for the company’s responsible gaming efforts, and we want them to be equipped with the skills needed to ensure guests are informed, confident and in control of their play.”
BetMGM, along with its parent company MGM Resorts, has recently joined the American Gaming Association and became official partners of its “Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly” campaign. Throughout its social media platforms, the company will offer players tips and educational resources regarding responsible gambling during the month of September.
Responsible gaming education remains a key focus as BetMGM continues to expand its sports betting platform to new jurisdictions. The company also provides resources to help customers play responsibly through its ongoing partnership with GameSense, a responsible gaming program first developed and licensed in 2017 by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to MGM Resorts.
BetMGM Responsible Gaming Program Manager Richard Taylor commented: “We’re excited to take part in an important campaign to help raise awareness and champion responsible gaming. Our primary focus is delivering exceptional customer service and responsible gaming is a critical element of our approach.
“Through GameSense, we empower our employees and customers to approach gambling the right way – for fun and entertainment.”
BetMGM is sponsoring the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey’s annual conference on September 23 in West Windsor, New Jersey.
