Loyalty program members can trade in rewards points for hotel stays.

Playstudios has expanded its partnership with the global hospitality brand IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), to upgrade its playAWARDS offerings for loyalty program members. The two companies began their collaboration in 2021 with the enhancement of the playAWARDS customer rewards program.

Players with the Playstudios mobile app can exchange playAWARDS loyalty points they earn during free gameplay for discounted stays at any of IHG’s 6,000 hotel locations across its 17 brands; including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Holiday Inn.

Playstudios Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Pascal said the company’s relationship with IHG is mutually beneficial, and the ongoing expansion is the largest in its history.

He commented: “This is an unprecedented expansion, the largest in the history of our playAWARDS loyalty marketing platform, and we’re doing it with an amazing collaborator.

“IHG Hotels & Resorts offers one of the most celebrated and diverse destination portfolios in the world. Giving our players the ability to use their playAWARDS points to create the getaway experience of their dreams is a gamechanger – pun intended.”

IHG’s hotel destinations span across 100 countries. The global hospitality company seeks to “provide True Hospitality for Good” for its guests. The brand is currently developing an additional 1,800 locations around the world.

Playstudios recently partnered with the international sightseeing brand Big Bus Tours. The two have collaborated to release a new suite of exclusive rewards to the playAWARDS loyalty platform.
