Bingo World and Rush Street Interactive (RSI) have announced the opening of the BetRivers Sportsbook located in Maryland. Eligible bettors will have access to a variety of US and worldwide sporting events.
The opening of the location will begin with former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Qadry Ismail placing the first bet. From there, bettors can place parlays, prop bets and in-game bets through the 12 self-service kiosks and three over-the-counter machines.
Bingo World President Randy Clemens commented: "We are so excited and honored to be the first operator outside of a casino to offer Maryland residents a retail sportsbook.
"Together with our partners at RSI, we can offer bettors a world-class in-person sports betting experience at the BetRivers sportsbook and lounge."
Joining Ismail on stage will be Clemens, BetRivers Director of B2B Services Adam Glass, Maryland State Senator Pamela Beidle, Maryland House of Delegates Member Nicholaus Kipke, Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman and Bingo World customer Ms. Myra Harris.
Ismail added: "This new sportsbook is a huge win for avid sports fans in Baltimore and beyond. Betting has become such a big part of the sports world and now Ravens Fans and other bettors can come here to be entertained and enjoy the wide variety of betting options BetRivers will offer."
The sportsbook itself is 3,000 square feet featuring a lounge area with 32 theater-style seats. Amenities include twenty-one high-definition screens that broadcast sporting events and BetRivers odds boards.
