The $4m renovation includes a 45,000-gallon pool with a retractable roof.

The newly renovated indoor/outdoor pool at Resorts Casino Hotel was opened to guests during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Highlighting the $4m renovation is the retractable roof allowing for year-round access.

Included in the renovation are a 12-seat full-service bar and an upgraded fitness center. The deck area will be available for year-round events as well, such as cocktail parties and wedding receptions.

Resorts contracted local trade unions to complete this renovation.

A focal point of the project is a 248 glass panel retractable roofing system that was built over the pool, making Resorts Casino Hotel the only property in Atlantic City to have one.

The pool itself is 50’ long x 26’ wide with a 5’9” deep end and a 2’9” shallow end with an accessible seat. It also features salt-treated water with a high-tech filtration system and an ultra-modern UV system.

Located on the third floor of the Ocean Tower over a hundred loungers were added in the pool enclosure and out on the sun deck. Two thousand hand-laid tiles cover the floor and the pool area is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM during summer hours.

The opening comes on the heels of the Atlantic City resort reaching an agreement with Local 54 of the Unite Here union. According to union president Robert McDevitt, the deal reached with Resorts Casino Hotel is similar to the agreement with other casinos in the city.

Resorts President Mark Giannantonio stated: "It’s a great deal. We’re really thrilled for the employees. They’ve been working really hard for us, and now we’re happy we can put this behind us and move forward with our business."
