USC Trojans attract the most bets at Las Vegas SuperBook

The Las Vegas sportsbook has seen more action on USC than powerhouses Alabama and Ohio State.
Several sportsbooks around the nation are seeing bets placed on Alabama and Ohio State to win the College Football Playoff. However, USC has emerged as the leader in terms of bets at the Las Vegas SuperBook.
SuperBook at Westgate veteran bookmaker Las Vegas Ed Salmons said: “They’re our biggest loser in the futures book.” With all of the bets being placed, USC’s national title odds have improved from 40-1 to 25-1 at the SuperBook.
The team went 4-8 last year, fired coach Clay Helton early in the season, and lost six of its last seven games. Head Coach Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma along with a few high-profile transfers are likely the reason for the increased odds.
USC has attracted more wagers and more money to win the national title than any other team at the Las Vegas location for the SuperBook. The SuperBook also operates out of Colorado and New Jersey.
Salmons continued: “If they go out and roll a couple of teams early, the public will be all over them every week. Sometimes when you put all these guys from different teams, it just takes a while. But if they happen to click from day one, absolutely, the public will be on them.”
The Alabama Crimson Tide is the consensus favorite to win the national championship. The two teams following behind Alabama are Ohio State and defending champion Georgia, no other team has single-digit odds, including USC.
Alabama has attracted four times as many national title bets as any other team at DraftKings.
At the moment, the largest reported national championship bet placed at Caesars Sportsbook is $100,000 on Alabama.
