Galaxy Gaming has appointed Meredith Brill to its Board of Directors. Brill will take her seat on the board effective immediately.
Brill’s appointment was to fill a spot left open after William Zender resigned earlier this month. She will serve on the board until the next election of directors, an event taking place during the company’s shareholder meeting.
Brill has experience both as a private investigator, an intellectual property lawyer, and patent agent in Canada. During her legal career, she has worked in patent drafting and prosecution, as well as management strategy and competitive intelligence research within the intellectual property sphere.
Galaxy Gaming Board of Directors Chairman Mark Lipparelli commended Brill for her knowledge of the company’s inner workings.
He said: “Meredith is a valuable addition to the Galaxy board. Her experience in intellectual property matters is directly relevant to Galaxy’s business model and, as a long-time shareholder, she is very familiar with the company’s opportunities and challenges. We look forward to her contributions.”
Brill said she has followed Galaxy for years and looks forward to the chance to be more intricately involved in the company.
She commented: “I have been a shareholder of Galaxy for several years, so I am an admirer of its business model and success to date.
“I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to get involved in the company’s strategy and operations and to bring my experience in IP-related matters to bear on its future activities.”
Galaxy Gaming develops and distributes games, technology systems and bonusing systems to both online and land-based casinos around the world. The company is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
