Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) has partnered with International Game Technology (IGT), a global leader in gaming. IGT aims to enhance its complex lottery instant ticket game printing process with PCMC’s ION digital printing technology.
This innovative, multiple-patented printing technique is unique to the industry and creates “Infinity Instants” games. These games are distinguishable by high-definition, richly-colored symbols, graphics on the front and back, as well as varied scene variety and flexibility.
IGT Vice President and General Manager of Instant Products and Services Keith Cash stated: “IGT’s patented Infinity Instant lottery games that are printed using PCMC’s ION technology are revolutionizing traditional instant ticket printing.
“With this innovation, instant ticket players will enjoy a new level of entertainment, including a full-color play experience that brings the games to life like never before. Plus, the customization possibilities that come with digital printing allows tickets to be tailored for any player segment or retailer type. IGT chose to brand this product category as Infinity Instants because the possibilities provided by the technology are unlimited.”
Infinity Instants tickets are printed on a physical press but produced through a series of digital printing processes. The digital aspect of the production process allows for every ticket in the pack to display unique artwork.
The Infinity Instant tickets have so far launched in four US lottery markets where they have demonstrated strong performance.
IGT Chief Operating Officer Global Lottery Jay Gendron commented: "The technology behind Infinity Instants disrupts and revolutionizes traditional instant ticket printing and endorses IGT's commitment to delivering growth-driving, player-tested, innovative solutions for lotteries
"The digital preparation process of Infinity Instants allows for every element of the instant ticket to be fully customized, creating an infinite number of possibilities. This high level of detail generates opportunities for lotteries to engage players through more appealing graphics and enhanced playstyles."
