Delaware’s April numbers jump to $1.2m in net income

Casinos across the state revealed wins and losses for the month ending on April 30

Table games saw a significant jump in Delaware during the month of April. Posting a net income of $68,754 in March to $328,597 in April. This is Delaware’s largest posting in table games over the course of 2022.

Although they gained significantly in table games, Delaware took a step back in April in regards to video lottery. The numbers in April for this category were $858,241 in net income versus $897,266 in March.

Poker rake and fee were also down in April to $35,051 from $36,050 in March. Although not a significant decline, it’s well under the January 2022 posting of $41,468. 

In terms of individual casinos, Delaware Park leads the way in net income. Table games accounted for $234,195, video lottery was $363,341, and the poker rake and fee tallied $20,165. In total, Delaware Park posted a net income of approximately $617,702 in April, nearly doubling Dover Downs.

Dover Downs came in second place with a total net income of approximately $366,309. Of that amount, video lotteries accounted for the largest percentage, bringing in $306,438 of the total. Net income for table games at Dover Downs was lower than it was in March of 2022. Not only that, but new registrations were also down from 285 in March to 260 in April.

Coming in last in terms of net income for Delaware through April is Harrington. The casino posted just $237,877, which was well under their total for March of 2022. Accounting for most of their revenue was video lottery as well, bringing in $188,461 of the total for the month of April.

The number of new registrations in Delaware for the month of April was 841. This is 45 registrations under what the state posted in March. However, net income as a total went up in April to $1.2m versus $1.002m in March.
