The move into the Canadian province is part of a company strategy for North American expansion.

Aspire Global’s Wizard Games has taken its content live in the newly regulated Ontario market. The company recently gained approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and has worked with operators 888casino and BetMGM to release its games to Ontario players.

Wizard Games has also achieved integration through provider and aggregator Pariplay, who is known for its Fusion platform.

The Ontario commercial market went live on April 4 and is the first Canadian province to offer iGaming to its residents. Up to now, local lotteries have traditionally dominated Canada’s gambling sector.

According to H2 Gambling Capital, Canada’s combined online sports betting and iCasino markets in 2022 are estimated at more than $2bn.

Ontario is projected to become one of North America’s largest iGaming markets.

Players throughout the province will have access to Wizard Games’ portfolio of more than 120 titles, including Rumble Rhino, Wolf Riches and Dragons of the North. Its titles are available in Latin America, North American and in more than 15 regulated jurisdictions throughout Europe.

Growth in North America remains a particular focus for the company. Wizard Games has an existing North American foothold in New Jersey, West Virginia and in the Canadian province of Alberta.

Wizard Games Managing Director Joey Hurtado said: “Our games are performing very well across North America and our entry into the highly promising Ontario market represents the latest step on our growth journey. Together with our leading operator partners, we are excited to embark on this journey, delivering engaging and entertaining content to a brand new audience.”
