Streaming commentary to enhance live-betting features.

PointsBet is upping its media offering for its NCAA Final Four Live Stream by offering a real-time commentary from experts in such areas as sports psychology and body language.

With this slightly revised format, PointsBet will be able to offer more information and data than has typically been the case. Usually, it is just statistics and odds; now, it will be emotions and reactions in the heat of play.

Such features will also aim to strengthen the Australian company’s reputation for live-betting offerings.

Elaborating on the study of behavior, Dr Michele Kerulis said the following: “For these college athletes, participating in the Final Four is a momentous occasion and culmination of hard work they put in during the regular season to get here. However, many of these players have never been in such a high-pressure situation like this.

“Everyone reacts to stress differently, and we’re aiming to highlight how skill alone does not influence the outcome of a game. Emotion plays a key part, and through this discussion, sports fans will fain a new perspective and help inform how they bet moving forward.”

Also on the roster of presenters is the famed former Duke forward Carlos Boozer (who has also made a highly public bet of $50,000 to win $600,000 on the Duke Blue Devils). Coming from direct life experience, he noted the importance of mental state in the outcome of the game: “That heightened pressure can either make or break you, and I’m excited to shed some light on how skill can bring you close to the win, but it’s heart and grit that gets you the championship title.”

The event is due to happen on April 2nd. The streaming will begin on that day at 5:55 PM EST and will happen at the beginning of and at the halftime of both games. The broadcast will be available on Instagram and Twitter.
