Michigan joins Pennsylvania, Nevada and New Jersey in providing the poker tournament’s online product.

WSOP.com, the online arm of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), has gone live in the state of Michigan. Players in the Great Lakes State will now have access to a number of live-action games including No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.

Each day WSOP.com will offer a series of tournaments for players to take part in, with some providing a chance to win 10,000x the buy-in.

"With two world champions coming out of this state, Michigan is a special market for the WSOP," said Ty Stewart, SVP of the World Series of Poker at Caesars Entertainment.

"We're sorry it's taken so long, but WSOP.com is ready to make up for our late entry with industry-leading promotions, the biggest weekly tournaments, and player appreciation benefits like freerolls to the Main Event in Las Vegas."

With this, Michigan joins Pennsylvania, Nevada and New Jersey in offering the live-games platform. WSOP.com is set to become the only website in the state to offer WSOP tournaments, including its famed world poker championships.

"It's go time in Michigan," Cada added. "I know a lot of local players are excited that WSOP.com is finally live in the state and I'm personally looking forward to getting to know all the great poker players at tournaments and online events soon."

Michigan has a long history with the WSOP, with a series of winners hailing from the region. As a result of this long-standing connection, the poker company has signed a partnership with 2009 WSOP winner, and Michigander, Joe Cader as a brand ambassador.
