CoinPoker Guarantees Four-Figure Fields for New Daily Dollar Tournament

CoinPoker rarely offers guarantees on microstakes tournaments, but it’s making an exception for the Daily Dollar.

As the name suggests, this new addition to the schedule runs daily and costs a dollar to enter, yet guarantees that it will get thousands of entries each time — or CoinPoker will make up the difference.

The cryptocurrency poker site debuted its latest creation with a $1,000 guarantee Monday through Saturday, and $3,000 for the Daily Dollar Sunday Edition.

The first run of the Sunday Edition hit its target easily, with 3,740 entries — 2,375 unique players, plus 1,365 re-entries for a total prize pool of $3,440.

It appears that making the guarantee isn’t the goal, though, as the site has immediately upped the minimum to $5,000 for the second run this weekend. Unless a horde of additional players turns out, that makes an overlay likely — which is not a bad thing for the participants, as it means extra money being added to the pool by the site.

The Cheapest Way to Trophy-Hunt on CoinPoker

There’s more than just money at stake in the Daily Dollar. It’s also the lowest buy-in path to winning a virtual trophy and perpetual bragging rights.

CoinPoker’s Trophy Cabinet is visible on each player’s Career page. Previously, trophies have only been available to winners of flagship tournaments. The Daily Dollar is the first micro-tier tournament to offer that opportunity.
