Entain has published its annual financial report and its gender pay gap report for 2021. It reported a decrease in its median hourly pay by almost two percentage points during the year.
The company reaffirms its commitment to gender equality in its workspace.
Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen said: “At Entain our vision is to create a ‘best place to work’ where our colleagues feel valued, respected, and engaged, and to ensure that this is reflected in the way they are rewarded. We are pleased to report that our median hourly pay gap has reduced to 5.3% from 7.1% – substantially lower than the national average of 15.4%. This reflects the gender parity in our retail business where 54% of or colleagues are female.
“While we are encouraged by this, we take nothing for granted and have put in place programs and policies such as EnTrain and Women@Entain which will help us continue on this journey. This approach to diversity, equity and inclusion is vital to our purpose of revolutionizing betting and gaming interactive entertainment.”
Entain’s 2021 figures showed company growth as well. The company reported an 8% increase in group revenue from the previous year, reaching $5.2bn during the 2021 fiscal year.
The adjusted EBITDA rose to almost $1.2bn, reflecting a 5% increase compared to 2020.
Net gaming revenue grew by 20% and climbed to almost $18.8bn.
Entain supports safe gambling and grassroots sport, as well as other humanitarian efforts through the Entain Foundation. The company also focuses on environmental concerns and aspires to be carbon net zero by 2035.
