The design contains elements specifically directed at Asian players.

Southern California’s Jamul Casino has opened refurbished high limit rooms.

The construction, which was done at a breakneck pace, includes an enlarged high limit slot room with bar, a private VIP lounge, and a high stakes room dedicated exclusively to Asian games. There will be additional focus on security and privacy put into place, as well.

Speaking on the new additions, Jamul Casino President and General Manager had the following comments: “Jamul Casino’s new high limit rooms are completely custom – from the artwork, to the furniture, to the crystal chandeliers.

“These elegant, airy spaces are a sanctuary of class and sophistication. We’re very proud that Jamul Casino’s high limit rooms rival the best in the world.”

In a bid to attract more Asian players, the casino not only included the room offering Asian games, it also carried out the design according to the principles of feng shui, a geomantic faith in the importance of cardinal directions, originating in China, which is thought to bring good fortune.

The Asian games room contains four baccarat tables and a face up pai gow poker table. There is a mural containing eight koi fish, eight being a lucky number in China.

The high limit slot room is 1,700 square feet. Its slot machines are protected by privacy walls, and there are light fixtures in the room that contain 26,000 multi-faceted crystals.

The issues pertaining to supply chains which have been bedeviling the rest of the country were indeed encountered on this project, but it was an obstacle that was managed to be overcome.

According to Designer Linh Ventura: “We were faced with challenges due to the supply chain shortages from aluminum to bar equipment. But none of that stopped us."
