Delaware iGaming numbers on the rise for January

The state has seen an increase in online wagers since this time last year.
Online gaming in Delaware has seen an upward trend for the month of January, compared to numbers from January 2021. Total wagers last month amounted to more than $29.2m, with a total of 869 new registrations. In January 2021, players only wagered $21.1m and the state saw 728 new registrations.
Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington have all seen spikes in iGaming activity this month. Players at Delaware Parker wagered $11.6m and won more than $11.1m. Dover Downs took in more than $10.8m in wagers and Harrington took in more than $6.4m, gaining new registrations of 270 and 167 respectively.
The state’s video lottery saw the largest amount of activity across the board last month, with a total of more than $21.4m, compared to $12.9m in January 2021. Table games brought in over $7.7m in January 2022.
Net gain for the state was almost just over $1.12m, with $515,380.86 going to Delaware Park, $370,918.03 going to Dover Downs and $235,046.45 going to Harrington.
Bettors in Delaware cleaned up as well last month. January 2022 yielded more than $28.1m in winnings to Delaware players, nearly a third more than what players won in January 2021. Delaware Park paid out more than $11.1m in winnings, Dover Downs more than $10.5m and Harrington more than $6.4m. All three venues paid out almost twice in winnings than what they did in January of last year.
Players walked away with about $20.5m in winnings from the video lottery and more than $7.5m in winnings from table games.
