WynnBET begins pre-registration for mobile sports betting in Louisiana

Rumors are abounding that mobile sports betting could be live in the state as soon as Friday.

Amid rumors that legal mobile sports betting in Louisiana could go live as soon as Friday, WynnBET has begun accepting pre-registration and deposits.

Along with the pre-registration are deals and promotions, such as the ability to win $250 despite their first bet being as low as $10. WynnBET is also banking on its brand ambassador, LSU grad Shaquille O’Neal, to get the good word out regarding the imminent coming of mobile sports betting in the Pelican State.

At the Las Vegas-based company, the hope is that this will be the first in a long string of successes. As commented Ian Williams, Wynn Interactive President: “WynnBet’s launch in Louisiana is just the beginning of an exciting few months for our company as we significantly increase our footprint during the first quarter of 2022.”

In addition to Louisiana, WynnBET is soon to launch in New York and Iowa. It is already live in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia.

Williams continued: “Pending regulatory approval, we will also soon be launching our online sportsbook in New York and Iowa, expanding the number of states players can enjoy our platform from seven to 10. We look forward to welcoming new customers from across the country to WynnBET in the coming weeks.”

While Williams' tone is evidently optimistic, it comes at a time of troubling reports surrounding the betting giant.

Just two days ago, the New York Post reported that Wynn Resorts was looking to unload its mobile betting arm at a great discount. The company – stymied by high taxes and expensive promotions – has apparently found it difficult to keep up with others in the arena who have already made considerable headway in luring customers to their platforms.
