Lunn brings to the job a wealth of experience in the industry.

Atlantic City’s famed Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will be undergoing a personnel change after owner MGM Resorts International appointed Travis Lunn as the institution’s new President and COO.

Lunn will be replacing Melonie Johnson, who will now return to MGM International’s National Harbor location, this time as its President and COO.

About his new appointment in Atlantic City, Lunn struck an upbeat note: “It’s an honor to be joining this incredibly talented team. Borgata is a world-class resort destination with a brand recognized nationwide for its spectacular accommodations, culinary program, and entertainment offerings.

“I can’t wait to jump in and connect with all the employees, guests and local community members.”

Lunn brings to the position a wealth of experience in hospitality and casino management. He received a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from the University of Las Vegas and has worked at some of the marquee names in the industry.

His most recent job was as MGM Resorts Southeast Group President and COO. In this capacity he led Beau Rivage Resorts & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi as well as Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi.

Under his stewardship, these casinos attained all-time high gaming revenue through much of 2021 while, at the same time, dealing with challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prior to this stint in Mississippi, Lunn was General Manager and Senior Vice President of Operations at MGM Grand Las Vegas, Vice President of Operations at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and General Manager of Hotel Operations at the Venetian and The Palazzo.
