FanDuel, Genius Sports expand partnership to include NFL content

Genius Sports is the National Football League’s exclusive distributor of real-time official statistics.

FanDuel and Genius Sports have today announced an expansion to their existing partnership, seeing the operator gain access to official NFL data and fan engagement solutions.

Following its selection as one of the NFL’s official sports betting partners in April 2021, this expansion will grant the operator Genius’ full suite of NFL data, as well as its in-play and live trading content solutions.

“We are delighted to partner with FanDuel to help them create the most compelling and contextual sports betting experience possible,” said Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports.

“With official data at its heart, this partnership enables FanDuel to better engage and monetize its customer base at every step of their journey. We couldn’t be more proud to be expanding our relationship with a clear giant of US sports betting in a way that entirely validates our long-held strategic vision.”

While this partnership centers on the potential of sports betting in the NFL, the operator will also gain access to official data from  NASCAR, the English Premier League, LigaMX, Argentinean and Colombian soccer.

“We are always looking for ways to improve our product and the data opportunities gained via this agreement help FanDuel achieve that objective,” said Niall Connell, General Manager of FanDuel Group. “The new suite of offerings including official NFL data will enable us to better serve our customers and enhance America’s #1 Sportsbook.”

In line with the company’s statement, FanDuel hopes this agreement will create value for its brand across the full player lifecycle, from acquisition and retention to pre-match, in-game betting.

The sports betting giant is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment and has a presence in all 50 states. The operator is currently based in New York, with offices in California, New Jersey, Florida, Oregon, and Scotland.
