DraftKings, iHeartMedia strike strategic agreement

DraftKings to become the odds supplier for iHeartMedia’s broadcast, digital, podcast and social platforms.
DraftKings has today announced the signing of a multi-year strategic partnership with iHeartMedia to become the platform’s official odds supplier. The agreement, which will cover iHeart’s broadcast, digital, podcasts, and social platforms, will also see the two companies co-create long-form content together.
“Even though we are number one in audio sports programming, we continue to build new sports content and DraftKings is an ideal partner as we expand and innovate,” said Greg Ashlock, CEO of iHeartMedia’s multiplatform group.
Furthermore, the two will work in unison to seek a wide range of content development opportunities, such as the distribution of shows and segments across iHeart platforms.
“DraftKings is a premier sports technology and entertainment company that provides millions of customers with the best in real-money gaming products along with exceptional safety and security through various responsible gaming measures. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership everywhere sports betting is permissible,” added Ashlock.
Per the terms of the partnership, DraftKings will be granted the right to leverage iHeartMedia’s SmartAudio suite of data-driven advertising products. Thus, allowing the sportsbook to target the broadcaster’s over 270 million monthly consumers with a tailored advertising approach.
