In this position, Liu will be responsible for the company’s financial operations including, analysis and accounting, supporting the brand’s growth initiatives, and financial reporting.

"I'm thrilled to join the AviaGames team and help manage capital to accelerate expansion and put us in a strong financial position to capture new revenue opportunities," said Liu.

"Vickie and Ping have built an excellent gaming brand and product with a loyal user base and I look forward to building a financial infrastructure that will scale and provide greater visibility into operations."

Prior to this appointment, the new vice president worked at The Walt Disney Company, a role that he gained after Disney’s acquisition of Fox. "Following our recent investment round, Bill's financial acumen will be invaluable in helping us strategically deploy the money raised," added Vickie Chen, founder and CEO of AviaGames.

With this foundation in place we'll be well positioned to act on our priorities of customer acquisition and international expansion."

Liu attended the University of California at Berkeley, studying Economics.

2021 has seen AviaGames secure a $40m cash investment led by ACME Capital and Washington Harbour Partners. The company also recorded a 450% year-on-year revenue increase and gained 6.1m new users.
