Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino makes Terry Glebocki's CEO position permanent

Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City has hired Terry Glebocki as its CEO, making her the only female CEO among the city’s nine casino operators.
Glebocki has served in the role in an interim position since August. She joined Ocean Casino as CFO in February.

The hire comes a week after Hyatt Hotels broke off its partnership with Ocean Casino.

Hyatt began operating the resort in June 2018.

The property originally opened as the Revel Hotel, but closed in 2014 after two years in
operation.

The $2.4bn property was rebranded in 2018 following an acquisition by Deifik - a Colorado- based development company.

In January, the New York-based private investment firm Luxor Capital Group obtained a
majority stake in the casino.

Glebocki has previously worked as CFO, EVP, and Treasurer of Tropicana Entertainment and VP of Finance for Trump Entertainment Resorts.

She also spent eight years at Revel Entertainment, including serving in the role of CFO.

By becoming CEO of Ocean Casino, Glebocki joins a small field of female gaming executives to have ascended to top ranks in the industry.

A 2017 study by the Las Vegas nonprofit Women of Diversity Production found that of 21
leading gaming and casino companies, none of the corporations had a female CEO, president or chairwoman.

Gender equality in gaming reached a big milestone in 2018, when Becky Harris became the first Chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
