Multi-platform deal includes appearances on Bettor’s Eye TV show.

The Action Network on Thursday said it has signed a multi-platform content partnership agreement with Major League Baseball.

Action previously reached agreements to partner with the National Basketball Association and the PGA Tour.

According to a statement from the company, later this month it will begin providing content to MLB to “help service fans and bettors already using MLB’s platforms.”

Officials said the deal will feature three components: written content, live shows and integration of Action’s talent and data with MLB’s existing content.

Syndicated, written articles from The Action Network, which the company said include both actionable betting advice and educational content, will be published on MLB’s digital platforms, including MLB.com.

In addition, Action will produce a weekly, 30-minute show called Payoff Pitch, with betting analysis and advice for that week’s games. It will feature Action MLB experts Sean Zerillo and Collin Wilson, among others.

And Action Network talent will appear regularly on MLB’s existing shows, including its betting-specific show, Bettor’s Eye.

The Action Network describes itself as a source for sports fans, offering original news, premium insights, betting tools, data and odds.

The company was founded in October 2017, after The Chernin Group (TCG) acquired three businesses in the sports betting and daily fantasy world, and combined them into one entity. Those three companies – SportsAction, a bet-tracking and scores app, Sports Insights, a betting terminal for pros, and FantasyLabs, a daily fantasy modeling platform – offered both free services and subscription-based tools to their users and have served as the base on which Action was built.
