The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) on Friday said it is declaring the Entertainment Capital of the World is completely reopened.
“Las Vegas will throw an epic Fourth of July fireworks celebration that will show the world that Vegas is back,” the LVCVA said in a statement.
On June 1, Clark County, which includes the Las Vegas metropolitan area, returned to pre-pandemic status by removing all restrictions involving capacity limits, large gatherings and more.
Today, the LVCVA said it will present a fireworks show on the Fourth of July for the first time. The show will feature Fireworks by Grucci.
At 11 p.m. on July 4, Las Vegas will launch a themed, coordinated fireworks show from the rooftops of ARIA, Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, Resorts World, The STRAT, Treasure Island and The Venetian.
Other fireworks shows happening in the Las Vegas Valley on the Fourth of July weekend will include Plaza Hotel & Casino, Red Rock Casino, Green Valley Ranch and Lake Las Vegas.
In addition to celebrating Independence Day, the LVCVA noted live entertainment is returning as Las Vegas reopens to 100% capacity. The group published a lengthy list of stars coming to town, including singers Brad Paisley, Bruno Mars, Garth Brooks, Miley Cyrus and Usher.
Comedians playing Vegas this summer will include Dave Chappelle, Joe Rogan, Bill Burr, Bill Maher, Tom Segura, Chelsea Handler, Gabriel Iglesias and Jim Jefferies.
In addition, numerous shows that have been shuttered for more than 15 months will welcome back audiences, such as Mystère by Cirque du Soleil at Treasure Island Las Vegas starting June 28, Shin Lim at The Theater at The Mirage, "O" by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio starting July 1, and Criss Angel Mindfreak at Planet Hollywood July 7.
Combat sports fans will be able to attend UFC 264, headlined by Poirier vs. McGregor 3, at T-Mobile Arena on July 10.
“Las Vegas is a city built on hospitality and entertainment, and we are thrilled to welcome visitors back from around the country,” Kate Wik, chief marketing officer for the LVCVA, said in a statement. “The excitement throughout the destination is palpable, and we know the pent-up demand to visit is real. We have been waiting for this moment to announce that once again, your ‘Only Vegas’ experience is waiting.”
The LVCVA noted all six Bruno Mars shows in July, and Garth Brooks’ July 10 appearance at Allegiant Stadium, are already sold out.
