The National Hockey League has announced a new partnership with the betting brand OlyBet. The company will become the official sports betting partner of the NHL in the Baltic region.
The NHL added that this partnership was supported by Sportradar, which is the NHL’s official global data distributer.
As part of the agreement, NHL branding will be used in nearly 100 casinos, hotels and restaurants across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as well as on Olybet’s digital products.
As an NHL partner, OlyBet will gain marketing opportunities on the league’s social and digital media assets.
The betting company can also take advantage of promotional campaigns connected with NHL events such as the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Stanley Cup Final and international events like the NHL Global Series.
NHL vice president, John Lewicki revealed that he was thrilled to welcome OlyBet into the NHL family.
"There are legions of loyal and passionate NHL fans in the Baltics, and partnering with OlyBet, the top sports betting brand in the region, provides a terrific opportunity for the NHL to further fan engagement in this part of Europe," he said.
Chairman and CEO at Olympic Entertainment Group and OlyBet Holdings, Corey Plummer added: "This is the beginning of a great partnership with the NHL to promote the brands and the sport. Ice hockey is very popular in our markets and our customers will now have more opportunities to engage with the NHL through live broadcasts and games, local events, social media and the best betting experiences in Europe.”
