Santa Cruz lottery LOAS reports 51% revenue increase for 2025

Argentina’s LOAS, the state lottery operator in Santa Cruz province, reported a 51% increase in revenue between April and October 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting continued growth for the government-run gaming operation.
LOAS President Claudia Pavez attributed the results to public support for the lottery’s social role in the province. “The Santa Cruz community supports this lottery, clearly understanding that we work to raise funds for the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Health,” she said.
According to the operator, lottery proceeds are directly allocated to provincial social development and public health programmes.
LOAS has also expanded its Responsible Gaming strategy, an area that Pavez acknowledged had previously received limited attention. The programme now includes a dedicated WhatsApp helpline and educational materials for parents and teachers. “We created a WhatsApp line for inquiries, we have guides for parents and teachers, and we can provide guidance and suggestions for any issues,” she added.
During the year, LOAS staff participated in public events including Expo Feria and Expo Carreras in Río Gallegos and Río Turbio, and took part in inter-ministerial coordination meetings with provincial authorities.
The operator has joined the Asociación de Loterías Estatales de la República Argentina, the national trade body for state lotteries, and is developing new digital tools, including a virtual assistant and chatbot for agency operators, to improve internal communications.
LOAS also resumed in-person outreach across Santa Cruz, including visits to Cuenca Carbonífera, Puerto Santa Cruz and Caleta Olivia.
The lottery will hold a special Telebingo draw on 28 December, with prizes exceeding ARS70m ($3.8), including a Jeep Renegade as the top prize.
