Oregon Lottery launches custom video game highlighting state icons
Developed with Light & Wonder, the new title aligns with a broader strategy to offer regionally tailored gaming content.
The Oregon Lottery has introduced Beaver State Bonus Bonanza, a custom video lottery title developed in collaboration with Light & Wonder and designed specifically for Oregon’s player base.
The game, which began rolling out at the end of September, is now available across nearly 2,000 video lottery locations statewide.
Beaver State Bonus Bonanza features symbols tied to Oregon’s cultural and natural identity, including Chanterelle mushrooms, Chinook salmon, Multnomah Falls, and the golden pioneer statue atop the state capitol building. An animated beaver character serves as the game’s host.
Shad Barnes, Oregon Lottery’s Senior Manager of Digital Marketing, said: “It was important to make sure no detail was out of place for Oregonians. We wanted it to be as authentically Oregon as possible, with details like our trees, wildlife and landmarks to feel like home.”
According to the Oregon Lottery, Light & Wonder spent more than a year working with its internal team to customize the title, including a development visit across the state to inform visual design.
Early performance data indicates the game has been well received compared to other titles in the Oregon video lottery portfolio.
