Pennsylvania generates $535.8m for September 2025, rises 5.9%

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported the state’s total gaming revenue for the month of September 2025, as casino properties, iGaming and sports wagering combined to generate $535.8m, representing an increase of 5.9%.
For individual gaming types, retail slot revenue fell by 1.5% year-over-year but still produced the highest total of any offering with $194m for September 2025. Its online counterpart, iGaming slots, were a close second with $181.1m generated throughout the monthly period, equating to the largest increase witnessed by any gaming type in Pennsylvania at 37.1%.
Retail and iGaming tables reported September 2025 revenues of $73.4m and $50m, respectively, representing a decrease of 0.1% for the land-based offering, but a rise of 17.8% for iGaming tables. Video gaming terminals generated an additional $3.3m for September 2025, but fell 0.6% from the prior year period.
In total, iGaming revenue for September 2025 was reported to be $233.4m in Pennsylvania, equating to an increase of 32.1%.
Sports wagering in Pennsylvania witnessed the largest decrease of any gaming type year-over-year, as operators currently conducting business across the state managed to produce just $29.7m in revenue for a decrease of 44.5%. Despite the significant fall in sports wagering revenue as reported by the PGCB, the state’s total handle for September 2025 rose 4.8% to $850.5m throughout the period.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course reported the highest gaming revenue of any Pennsylvania establishment for September 2025, producing nearly $101.6m and increasing 23.1%.

Only four properties out of the 19 which report financial results to the PGCB witnessed decreases in gaming revenue from the prior year period, including Live! Casino Philadelphia and Hollywood Casino at the Meadows which fell 11.4% and 38.4%, respectively, to generate $23.3m and $17.8m.
Wind Creek Bethlehem also reported a decrease in gaming revenue of 3.8% but still managed to generate the fifth-highest revenue of any property, having produced $41.8m for September 2025. Valley Forge Casino Resort and Rivers Casino Philadelphia reported September 2025 revenues of $93.4m and $53.1m, respectively, equating to year-over-year increases of 9.1% and 4%.
Parx Casino also managed to generate an increase in revenue for September 2025, totaling $53.1m for a rise of 1.7%, while Rivers Casino Pittsburgh reported $28.9m in monthly gaming revenue and increased 2.6%.
For fantasy contest operators, DraftKings and FanDuel both reported increases in revenue from the prior year period, rising 2.3% and 32.6%, respectively, for September 2025 totals of $1.4m and $392,347. Underdog Sports witnessed a fall in fantasy contest revenue of 22.9% in Pennsylvania, but was the only operator to also eclipse the six-figure revenue mark at $102,945.
