SGLA hosts independent forum to refute ‘misinformation’ about online social games

The Social Gaming Leadership Alliance (SGLA) hosted the first-ever Online Social Games Expo on October 2, featuring speakers such as SGLA Executive Director Jeff Duncan, Yellow Social Interactive Director Paul Foster and Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW) Executive Product Advisor Derek Brinkman.
The discussion was centered on “refuting misinformation” regarding the online social games industry, as well as to showcase operators’ commitment to “responsible innovation, player protection and industry integrity.”
“While the name of our discussion was slightly tongue-in-cheek, the substance of it was not,” Duncan said.
“We thought it was important to share our industry’s perspective leading into the Global Games Expo. From robust age verification and player protections to the entertainment online social games with sweepstakes provide, the Online Social Games Expo discussion covered a lot of important ground about online social games with sweepstakes promotions.”

Fellow speakers who took part in the online independent forum include ARB Interactive General Counsel Bryan Schroeder and Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation Tribal Administrator & Kletsel Economic Development Authority (KEDA) CEO Eric Wright.
