Ohio casinos generate just over $89m for August 2025

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has reported the state’s casino activity throughout August 2025, as Jack Cleveland Casino, Hollywood Casino Columbus, Hollywood Toledo and Hard Rock Cincinnati combined to generate just over $89m of revenue and grew 3.9% year-over-year.
Jack Cleveland casino was the only property in Ohio which witnessed a decrease in revenue from the prior year period, having produced $22.5m for August 2025 and falling by just 1.2%. Hollywood Casino Columbus managed to generate the highest revenue of any property throughout the state, reporting $25.3m and rising 7.8%.
Hollywood Casino Toledo and Hard Rock Cincinnati generated August 2025 revenues of $20.9m and $20.4m, respectively, equating to increases of 8.6% and 0.7% year-over-year.
Of the $89m generated by Ohio casinos throughout August 2025, activity from slot machines accounted for $66m of the total revenue, rising by 4.4% and generating $875.4m of handle for the monthly period. Tables games produced the remaining $23m of revenue reported for August 2025, equating to growth of 2.5%.
Slot machine play accounted for $19.3m of the total revenue reported by Hollywood Casino Columbus, representing an increase of 3.9%, while table game revenue fell 6.9% but still produced $8.5m for the property.

Hollywood Casino Toledo reported a slot activity increase of 9.6% from the prior year period for a total of $18m, while tables generated $2.8m and grew 2.5%.
Finally, Hard Rock Cincinnati witnessed stagnant performances from both slot machines and table games, which managed to produce $14.7m and $5.7m of revenue, respectively, throughout August 2025.
