Palms Casino Resort appoints Kevin Glass as new GM

The casino resort parted ways with former GM Stephan Thayer in June 2025, less than a year since taking over the position, while Glass previously served as VP of Hospitality and Assistant GM.

Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas has appointed Kevin Glass as its new GM, where he will now oversee day-to-day business for Palms and Palms Place, both of which are owned and operated by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
Glass stated he was honored to be named GM of the property which “has been such an important part of my career and my journey,” while also speaking on the “passion and dedication” he has witnessed from the Palms Casino Resort team.
The Las Vegas casino resort parted ways with former GM Stephan Thayer in June 2025, less than a year since taking over the position, despite no reason still being given as to why Thayer stepped down from the role.
“As much experience as Kevin brings, equally as important is that he brings heart to this role,” San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority Chairperson Latisha Prieto said.
“Kevin has been with us since day one of our journey to becoming owners of Palms. His devotion to the team, guest experience and our Tribal culture makes him the ideal leader for Palms and Palms Place.”

Glass previously served as VP of Hospitality for over three years with Palms Casino Resort and took over as Assistant GM in March 2025. The gaming and hospitality executive has also held positions with Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch, The Cosmopolitan, Sahara Las Vegas and Park MGM.
Palms Casino Resort represents the only Tribal-owned property currently standing in Las Vegas, although a second facility will debut once the construction for Hard Rock Las Vegas is officially completed in 2027.
