Fairmount Park Casino & Racing will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a three-day event held from September 18-20, including the fifth annual St. Louis Derby which represents the richest horseracing event in Illinois, offering a grand prize of $250,000.
The three-day celebratory event will begin with a giveaway held on September 18 where cardholders will choose between a free commemorative hat or t-shirt while supplies last.
“This milestone is about more than just racing; it’s about honoring the generations of fans, horsemen, and team members who have made Fairmount Park what it is today,” Fairmount Park Casino & Racing SVP of US Gaming and GM Vince Gabbert said.
“We’re excited to welcome the community to join in the celebration, and we look forward to the next hundred years of racing and entertainment here at Fairmount Park.”
Following the race on September 19, $10,000 worth of cash giveaways will be handed out by Fairmount Park Casino & Racing, as guests are required to have a player’s card in order to be eligible for the drawings.

Activities scheduled for September 20 include face painting, magicians, jugglers and oversized lawn games such as cornhole and connect four.

The company originally released the acquisition news on July 15, 2024, with the purchase amount set at $35m.
